If you like hiking, exploring, etc...rent a small cabin in Hocking Hills!

Shawnee State Forrest.....Im a little more partial to that area because my family has a hunting cabin there and I know the area pretty well......BUT, the Lodge is very nice. They offer an indoor and outdoor pool, jacuzzi, cabins, lodge rooms, fishing, paddle boats, hiking, gameroom with pool table and ping pong. etc, etc. http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/forests/shawnee/tabid/5166/Default.aspx
VERY NICE and only about 2 hrs from Midddletown.
Houston Woods is only 30 minutes from Middletown and offers a lot of the same, just not as "hilly"

If you want something directly opposite of Hocking Hills, we enjoy getting a room at the Marriott Residence Inn in Easton in Columbus. Tons of shopping, restaurants, bars (but no clubs!), movies, etc. all within minutes of the hotel and no driving. Friday and Saturday nights are really packed, great atmosphere.

landollsmohicancastle.com
OMG,I hate sharing that. It is such a great place that you like to keep it to yourself, you know. Try the Kihm Suite or got all out and book the Landoll Suite!! They only have 12 suites in the actual castle, plus a few cottages surround the castle. But it is amazing, great place to go to renew anything that needs renewed... about 2 hours away, just outside Loudenville Ohio. |
